This weekend, on the 10th Anniversary of September 11th, we will honor our local first responders. We will thank them for their selfless service and present to them a small gift.
USHERS:
There will be a "Why we remember" video played. While it is playing the ushers can grab a few of the gifts and stand at the back of the church (spread out behind each section) Pastor Joe will speak and ask all the Fire, Police and EMT's to please stand so that we can give them a gift.
At that time the ushers will hand out the gifts to the people that stand closest to them.
The gifts themselves will be located in the Sanctuary, on a table in front of the cry room window (next to the media booth). They will be covered until the ushers are ready to hand them out.
Thank you for all your help in making this a special event.
*SATURDAY USHERS-Before service please bring the gifts from the office where you drop off the money(They will be located in a basket on the shelf) and put them on the table in the sanctuary, (next to the media booth) and cover them with the cloth. GREETERS:
There are 'Come greet with me' cards located in Volunteer Central. Please grab a few when you get here and hand them to people you think would be a great addition to our hospitality team.
*There is a huge need for greeters at the 11:30! We have no greeters at all for the first week of the month at 11:30. If you are an 11:30 greeter, can you please reach out to the people around you and encourage them to serve?
