This week, the staff and Pastors of the Church met to talk about our Church and how we can help the people who come here, to thrive. Our discussion was driven by a Seminar we attended last week.
It was called "The Race to Reach Out".
The importance of a Church being friendly and inviting was a huge part of the meeting. Reminding each other to intentionally seek out the people who are new and engage those we have never met is life changing.
It led me to a thought.
What if we didn't think of ourselves so much at 'Greeters' ...but as 'Minglers'?
(According to spell check, that's not even a word, but I think you all understand what it means... 'To mingle'

Although Jesus may not have said.."Go forth and mingle"....I think he was getting at the same goal.
MIX, UNITE, MERGE.
This weekend, whether we are on the schedule as greeters, or not, be on the look-out. Keep your eyes open for those lost people, visitors or anyone you have not yet met.
Mingle with them...get to know them...reach out.
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it."
