RIDE WITH THE UCUMC MOTORCYCLE CLUB

The UCUMC Motorcycle Club has its next ride planned for Saturday, July 7. If you’ve got a motorcycle and would like to join our fellowship while enjoying the scenery in central Florida, please come.
Gather: 8:00 am in front of the EPICenter
Duration: Ride should be over by about noon.

Join other women on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 for Thursdays at the Porch—a “living magazine.”
The morning will be themed around rooms in your house...
  • In the KITCHEN, cooking demonstrations
  • In the FAMILY ROOM, crafts and family game ideas
  • In the BATHROOM, health and beauty tips
  • In the CLOSET, ways to clean out and get organized
  • In the LIVING ROOM, stories of faith
  • In the BACK YARD, ideas for helping others.
Come Bring Your Friends…and Kids!
Age 6-weeks to entering 1st grade: high-quality childcare
2nd grade to entering 5th grade: fun in the EPICenter/game room
($3 per child per week/maximum of $12)

CANVAS ART CAMP

Tracey Farrell is offering this arts experience to children in grades 2-5. Canvas is a week of instruction on line, design, color and composition using several media (water color, acrylic, pencil, pastel and more), and culminating in an evening art show.
Dates: July 9, 11, 13 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 2 pm.
Cost is $75. (Numbers in each grade level are limited.)

Summer Schedules for the kids of the church.....


CHILDREN’S MINISTRY SUMMER CHANGES

June 2-3
  • Rising 4th-5th graders continue with their classes in the Shack.
  • Rising 6th graders join EPIC (see schedule, left).
  • Saturday night children classes stop (until Aug. 4); childcare is available for children up through kindergarten.
June 23
  • Rising 3rd graders move to The Shack (just prior to VBS).
Aug 4-5
  • All other children (from nursery–1st grade) move to their new classes.

STUDENT COMMUMITY SUMMER SCHEDULE

JUNE
  • No Sunday night or Wednesday night events
  • Youth Sunday School classes (in the EPICenter)
    • 8:45 and 10:15 am (except Father’s Day).
  • June 11–15: Converge

ADULT BAPTISM

DESCRIPTION

ADULT BAPTISM - SAVE THE DATE!

We’re planning a baptism event on August 18 for youth and adults who desire to be baptized by “immersion” (in an outdoor pool)—either for the first time or to affirm their baptism as infants. If you’ve ever wondered about being baptized, and want to explore this opportunity, please contact Pastor Tim atTimFarrell@ucumc.net.

If baptism at UCUMC is new for you or your family, please plan to attend a brief baptismal meeting on August 12 at 11:30 am with Pastor Tim. He’ll go over what we believe about baptism and answer and questions you may have.
