We have had many new faces coming by these past few weekends.  One of the big questions has been about VBS sign up sheets.  Those forms are located in the lobby on the wall with all the literature.  If we run out on Sunday at some point, you can let people know that they can print all the necessary forms out from our Website.
Click on the picture above to see where the forms are on our website.

Special things happening this weekend....

There will be two Baptisms going on this weekend.  There will be one at 9:00 and one at 11:30.  When we celebrate this wonderful event we usually have visitors who have never been here before.  Please make sure that you help people find seats and direct them to where they need to be.  *Please also be sure to tell these people to visit our Welcome Cart and pick up a gift!*

(We are still giving out mugs with candy.  They are located in the Welcome Cart)

"A Tale Of Two Churches"

There will be a Community Launch table set up out front for people to sign up.  Please encourage people to get involved and help out in our community.

REACHING OUT-

HELPING SEMINOLE COUNTY HELP KIDS

Along with many other churches, we have agreed to help provide weekend food for children of homeless families in Seminole County. We have been asked to “adopt” children from Indian Trail Middle School. Please place cans of fruit, soup, vegetables, spaghetti, beef stew, etc., in the specially marked collection box in the lobby; we’ll get it delivered to the school.

We love to get people involved around the church,

but

sometimes they want to reach outside of the

walls...and

that's great too!!!!

HOPE FOUNDATION VOLUNTEER NEEDS

The HOPE Foundation (located in Oviedo) is in need of volunteers to help with preparing welcome baskets for “Pathways to Home” program members, picking up food at donation locations, and setting up tables at community events (training provided).
VOLUNTEERS TO SORT CLOTHING: Tuesdays-Thursdays-Saturdays 2-3 hour shifts between 9:30-4:30pm. All donated clothing needs to be examined carefully before being priced and put in our store. Sorters look for wear, stains, missing buttons, check zippers and general appearance of all garments. We only keep items that look new or are new.

VOLUNTEER TO INSTALL DOORS: As soon as possible. We need to install a door with a lock in order to close off the food pantry from the thrift store.

RESOURCE CENTER ASSISTANT: Access liason-assists clients as they apply for food stamps or medicaid on line or paper, assist clients with the copier and faxes, keep job hunting posts up to date & etc. We need at least 3 volunteers, one each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11-2pm. This volunteer needs to be able to give HOPE a 6 month committment to volunteer. Training will be provided. Contact Christine@hopehelps.org for more information.

If you are available to help in any area please contact our volunteer coordinator, Karol Ludaescher atVolunteer@HopeHelps.org.
