As you meet new visitors and help guide people through the church, mention some of the above events.  You can click on each link above to learn more about the upcoming events here at UCUMC.

Ushers and greeters, please be aware that before service each Sunday the Music Team will have a three minute musical prelude before service actually starts.  This is a good time to prompt people to find their seats.  *IMPORTANT* Please help people find seats when the Sanctuary starts to become full.  Guide them to the seats and ask people sitting at the end to please move in.  This will help the flow and make sure that everyone gets to their seats in a timely manner. 

BLUE AND WHITE CARDS- Please make sure after every service, that the communication cards are put in the office with all the offering envelopes.  These cards are so important because they hold not only new visitor information, but they also contain important prayer requests. 

COUNTS- A count of all people needs to be taken during every service.  The sheet for the count is located in Volunteer Central.  If there aren't any Ushers in your particular group that do not know how to do this, please come to the front desk and ask for help.  Either myself or someone else will explain this proceedure.  If you are an experienced Usher, please make sure that all of the Ushers working with you know how to do this count. 

Greeters-Since it is so hot out there already......once the large group of people have entered into the Church, please close the doors and only open them as people arrive.  This way it will keep the Church at a comfortable temperature, rather then too cold or too hot. 

Remember to mingle with new faces!  If you see someone who seems to be new or looks lost....please be a friendly face to guide them to where they would like to be.

Welcome Cart- I had thought it would be better to only ask for a small amount of information when talking to someone at the cart....but we need to go back to having them fill out the card as completely as they can.  You will no longer see highlighted cards at the cart.

Thank you again for all your service to this church!  I hope you are having a wonderful summer so far.  Please make sure to call your subs if you need a replacement for your volunteer time.  We can all work with each other to keep the church going through the summer as we travel or plan to be away.
