In the Shelter of His Wings

This week at the Welcome Cart....

You will notice that a part of the blue and white information cards are highlighted with a yellow marker. I did this so that our new visitors did not have to fill the entire card out while they are speaking with you. The Welcome Cart is really about "social interaction" and making a personal connection.

We will be sending out cards to new visitors in the mail, in addition to calling them, so please make sure they at least fill out their address, e-mail and phone number.

 Give a gift.
Sometimes people don't want to take a chocolate bar. That's ok!  Give them a keychain. These things are located inside the Welcome Cart.  Put the basket of keychains on the counter of the Welcome Cart and hand them out with or without the candy bars. In addition to those things,  there will be Welcome magnets to give away.  Let everyone walk away with a reminder of their time here at UCUMC.

Now that the Welcome Cart is front and center we really need a welcoming face there before and after each service. If you are a Saturday greeter can you please be a smiling face at the Cart before and after service?  This also effects the 9am service Welcome Cart greeters. If you're scheduled to be at the cart for the 9am service, can you please come a little early to welcome everone before service as well?
When bringing the offering to the office and doing the count, please use the Volunteer Central door.  Although the Cry Room entrance is closer,  walking through there is disturbing to the people worshiping in that area.

Membership class will be meeting again in room M201 at 10:15.
Please direct people up the stairs off of the lobby
Womans Night of Worship
Monday May 16th 6:45
"In the Shelter of His Wings"
Invitations will be handed out before and after all services.  Be sure to let everyone know.

Ushers.........Please be sure to do the count during each service and fill out the count sheet in Volunteer Central.  If you are not sure how that is done, please let me know and I'll help you.

And finally...THANK YOU...for being such giving and caring people!  I really feel like we all come together as family when we worship and welcome people to the Church!

God Bless,

Patti
