EASTER'S AROUND THE CORNER

In many Christian churches, the 6 weeks preceding Easter—Lent—is a time of reflection and preparation, reminiscent of the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness. Consider how these opportunities can help you prepare for the celebration of Easter.

Latin for “shadows,” the Tenebrae service allows us to consider the whole story of Easter, not just the “happy ending” of Jesus’ resurrection. It’s not a joyous service; it’s a recounting of the betrayal, abandonment and death of Jesus, to help us understand what Jesus’ went through on our behalf.
Meditate, take Communion and reflect on Christ’s passion and death.

Elementary Ministries Coordinator - Children’s Ministry is looking for an energetic, active person with a heart for children and the Lord! This position will be part-time (approx. 20 hours a week), working with our 3rd–5th grade kids and mentoring college interns.
