After a great deal of prayer and research the church has decided to build up our Facebook Page in order to reach out to an even larger demographic seeking a relationship with Christ.  Social Media is growing every day.  Nothing will ever replace a face to face conversation, a hug or a handshake....but as the people of the world flock to different places (like Facebook), we feel called to make ourselves available to all who seek.

You can now post pictures, videos and interact on our church FB page much more then before.  It will be filled with more photo albums of all we do in the church and around the world!  If you have not 'liked' the UCUMC Facebook page you might want to consider it so that you will get updates on coming events and postings.

CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY

Here’s how they can participate:

• Buy an item from the HOPE TREE—Take a tag from the tree in the lobby, buy the suggested item(s) and return it to the church by December 11. Items are: gifts for children and teens; bags of groceries; gift cards for turkeys; underwear/socks; blankets; books.
• Donate wrapping paper and tape.
• Volunteer for the event (go to www.HelpfortheHomeless.net).
• Sponsor the public event through your business.

MISSIONS BAKE SALE, DECEMBER 17–18

Buy some holiday goodies and support our 2012 mission teams! The sale will be between the buildings after every service next weekend.

BLOOD DRIVE - DECEMBER 11

Look for the Little Red Bus in the parking lot on Sunday, December 11, starting at 8 am.

HELPING SEMINOLE COUNTY HELP KIDS

Along with many other churches, we have agreed to help provide weekend food for children of homeless families in Seminole County. We have been asked to “adopt” children from Indian Trail Middle School. Please place cans of fruit, soup, vegetables, spaghetti, beef stew, etc., in the specially marked collection box in the lobby; we’ll get it delivered to the school.

UCUMC JOB OPENING: FINANCE ASSISTANT

We are looking for a person to assist the church’s financial administrator, part time. Accounting or bookkeeping experience required (CPA not necessary); background in church or non-profit organization preferred. Send resumés toKarynShockey@ucumc.net.

Keep your eyes out for those COLLEGE AGE kids!  Their bible study is at 11:30 every Sunday!

We have had a great response to this....keep praying that it reaches out to even more!
